Senyum.

Denyut Kasih Si Bakal Doktor (insyaAllah)

*tajuk post sangatlah tak original

Salam alayk..

Saya kini berada di rotasi Ilmu Kesehatan Anak.
Alhamdulillah, sangat menyenangkan :)

what's up doc?

Teringat kata-kata seorang doktor pada waktu itu yang lebih kurang begini 'while studying medicine, you are going to do a lot of soul searching.. because you really need to have a sense of purpose if you want to be doctor.' Mana taknya, menjadi doktor itu seolah-seolah seluruh kehidupan kita didedikasikan buat patient. Sibuk, tambah lagi kalau balik Malaysia mesti asyik kena marah, herdik lagi...

Allahul musta'an... Charity starts at home. Bagaimana saya mahu mencapainya? Allahul musta'an!

pps: Setiap kali berjumpa patient, insyaAllah kita mendapat pahala menziarahi pesakit. Alhamdulillah.

Tetapkan niat, biiznillah. Doakan saya.

Beautiful girl

You wanna walk into the room like that other girl does
The one that’s always making everybody fall in love
You see…girl you’re a lot like me.
She rearranges all the light in the room so you’re always in the
shadows,
Well that’s what it feels like to you…
I’ve been there too.
And I know how much it can sometimes hurt,
You feel like the whole world has made you the ugly girl.
Take it from me that you have to see it first.

So before you trade in your summer skin for those high heeled shoes,
To make him want to be with you.
Let me remind you one more time…
That just maybe, you’re beautiful but you just cant see.
So why don’t you trust me,
They’ll see it too you beautiful girl you

You wanna lay the blame on somebody else,
All these tiny little minds that leave you up on a shelf.
Well okay, I’ve seen it done that way.
Just in case nobody ever comes through,
Riding in to come to your rescue.
You still have a chance,
You don’t have to be asked to dance.
I know how much you’ve been dying to say,
Look how much everybody loves me.
Guess who gets left when everyone else fades away

So before you trade in your summer skin for those high heeled shoes,
To make him want to be with you.
Let me remind you one more time…
That just maybe, you’re beautiful but you just can’t see.
So why don’t you trust me
They’ll see it too you beautiful girl you

Everyone was born beautiful... and the most beautiful thing of all is having a beautiful heart.
Sometimes we put too much focus on something that is so superficial that we don't appreciate things that lay underneath.

Love yourself because you are beautiful
Respect yourself because you are not like other women, if you are the women of faith..

:)

Tidur

Jika esok engkau terbangun pastilah
Siang harimu wahai pecundang hanya kelalaian
Dan malammu hanya mendengkur, pantaslah engkau menerima kehancuran
Setelahnya engkau menyesali perbuatan
Demikian di dunia hidupmu ibarat haiwan"
Umar bin Abdul Aziz

Mendalam......bukan?

lalu dicapai Ringkasan Siyar A'lam An-Nubala oleh Imam Az-Zahabi,
membelek... hingga terjumpa sirah, biodata Umar bin Abdul Aziz...

Mereka bersedih kerana kita, namun, kita melakukan apa saja seenaknya

Mereka menegur kekhilafan kita, namun kita mengingkari malah kembali memarahi

Mereka benci tindakan kita, malah kita semakin ligat mengajaknya bersubahat

Ameen...

Jalan Cinta Para Pejuang

kucing juga pandai berlari tahu!?. [credit]
Larilah hanya menujuNya. Meloncatlah hanya ke haribaanNya. Walau duri merantaskan kaki. Walau kerikil mencacah telapak. Sampai engkau lelah. Sampai engkau payah.

Touched

Whenever we feel that we're losing our way, that feeling itself should make us strive to get back to our old rhythm again. Sometimes Allah gives us that feeling so that we seek Him, rather than being complacent and doing something just for the sake of habit....

Watched a video just now, and couldn't help feeling so touched.

May Allah bless this speaker and may there be many more like him...

We need da'ies who preach with love, with patience and sincerity... not with hatred and full of judgement of others...

This is just what I think from what's happening now in our beloved country. Sometimes we feel just because we are on the 'right' side we can just throw the truth to everyone else regardless of the background of the listeners. That it's okay to speak harshly, to be cynical, just because we disagree with other people.
Syeikh Mufti Menk's words suddenly popped into my head: Sometimes we fight about who's right or wrong until we forget about what is right or wrong.

Da'wah is an art...
Don't let our rash decisions pull us farther away from the people.
In the end, we are the ones at loss.

And remember that Rasulullah sent his message of tauhid throughout the world full with love.

"Whoever doesn't love, will not be loved"

This is the video that I watched. May it be beneficial for us, insyaAllah...

May Allah guide us to the right path, towards Jannatul Firdaus and keep us away from His Wrath and Hellfire. Amiin.

Kembali

Moga terus kuat sahabatku...

Eventhough you see death on a daily basis, you never get used to it.

Sakit kronik. hu

"Menyimpan hati bukanlah mudah....

I feel for you~

Adakah anda mengerti maksud saya?

Maka kuatlah~
Something better is waiting for you up ahead:)

p/s: Can you compare the love of Allah and Rasulullah to the love of all His creatures? Sometimes, something that we hold dear is much less valuable than what we really think.. Maybe it's just talbis iblis who don't want us to be closer to He who created us..

p/s2: May Allah ease and guide us in these testing times. Praying that everything goes well

p/s3: Our niat will be tested upon... May we remain steadfast in the straight path, amiin!

p/s4: Nothing worth having ever comes easy. Even though we ask Him to give ease, fighting through hardships only shows our resilience in seeking His love. So don't worry if there are bumps up ahead. hu (monologue for myself) Don't ask for an easy life, ask for strength, they say. So I'm asking for a lot of strength.

Walaupun hanya sekelip mata

Well dear, life doesn't work like magic
It all takes hard work
If you want to change, then you will.
That's how strong our mind is.
However it's been weakened by a lot of things
Mainly our nafs

Ya Allah, Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum,
DDengan RahmatMu aku memohon perlindungan
Perbaikilah seluruh urusanku
Janganlah diserahkan kepada diriku
Walaupun hanya sekelip mata

Culture vs Family vs Islam

Leave your own practices behind, because now we have the legitimate way to do things.

Where do we draw the line for tolerance?

May Allah ease.

Hijrah

Hadis sahih riwayat Imam Ahmad. Kita hanya manusia, dan manusia sering terlupa. Marilah mengingatkan sesama kita, moga berjumpa di syurga~

Gaul.

Manusia, seringkali 'take things for granted'.

Bagaimanakah kita menyantuni mereka?

Kadang-kadang, kita fikir disebabkan kita rapat dengan orang itu, maka mereka patut menerima kita seadanya walaupun kita banyak berbuat salah kepada mereka.
Kitalah yang harus memegang pemikiran sebegitu. Bukan mengharapkan orang lain...

Susahlah kan hidup ni kalau semua benda nak stress memanjang.

Mungkin sebab tu sekarang dah jadi makin pendiam.
(Not good sebab macam mengelakkan sesuatu tanpa memperbaikinya. Doakan saya ya.)

Apapun sebagai dai'e, suka tak suka, kena jadi approachable. Bukan peramah, kena jadi peramah.

Memang prognosis buruklah jawabnya. huhu.

Jom menjadi manusia yang lebih baik! biiznillah... :)

p/s: Adik-adik cakap muka makin berseri-seri sejak kebelakangan ni. Iyolah tu. Nampak sangat rinduu. ekeke

10 beautiful aspects of a muslimah

Salam alayk..

So here i am copying and pasting shamelessly, again.  I plead guilty to the charge of neglecting this blog. =_= But ideas seem to come at moments when it's impossible for me to jot them down. *alasan*

Short update:

My mini c-ex or long case examinations will be next week. Unfortunately, just when it's the Malaysian students turn to have the exams (we're always the last ones, for IPD anyway) suddenly the residents say that the cases will no longer be known to us, only the divisions of the cases (eg: cardio, pulmo etc)

Seriously. I don't mind if they make some changes but halfway through the exams when most did get the chance to pick their cases?  (I shouldn't be making this public. Oh well who reads this blog anyway)
It's so unfair. But pointing that out is well, pointless so better just make the most of it, aite? Most of it depends on our examiner so please please please let me get a nice one who is generous and kind and will give me good marks (ameen) -> (you still have to study farhana oi)

Please make du'a for me. :) jazakallahu khayran~

Nevertheless, since the story of my life is hardly that much interesting, this brings us to this post's title. I read this at www.turntoislam.com so please don't call me a plagiat ya!

Well, according to the author, these are 10 beautiful aspects of a muslimah. But below it is another title "10 beaufitful aspects Muslim Men Find Attractive In Muslim Women" okay so you can just take your pick.  I think he meant beautiful though, not beaufitful *hehe* I wonder what that means.

May Allah grant us the gift of being one, or acquiring one if you get what i mean *smiles*
Ameen.

1. Her Obedience to the Creator: A practicing Muslim man loves to have a practicing muslim wife (woman); who knows that the life of this world is nothing but a test from her Lord; giving her an opportunity to come closer and closer to Allah, doing more and more good deeds to please Him Azza wa jal, restricting herself from the desires of her inner self that go against the will of her Creator.

But as for him who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained himself from impure evil desires, and lusts. Verily, Paradise will be his abode. (Surah An- Naaziyaat: 40-41)

2. Her Haya (Modesty/Shyness): Haya is one of the most significant factors of a woman’s personality. Haya according to a believer's nature refers to a bad and uneasy feeling accompanied by embarrassment, caused by one's fear of being exposed or censured for some unworthy or indecent conduct.[1]

Prophet Sallallahu alaihiwasallam said: "Haya comes from Eman; Eman leads to Paradise. Obscenity comes from antipathy; and antipathy leads to the fire." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

A Muslim woman feels shy to do anything that would displease her Lord in any aspect. She has haya in her talk, she has haya in her gaze, she has haya in her clothing, she has haya in her walk. Her haya in her talk is that she is not soft in her speech but speaks honorably. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If you keep your duty (to Allah), then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honorable manner” (Surah Al-Ahzaab:32)

Her haya in her gaze is that she does not look at what Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala has prohibited for her to look. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says (interpretation of the meaning):

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts)… (Verse continues) (Surah An-Nur: 31)

Her haya in her clothing is that she does not reveal to others what Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala has forbidden for her to reveal. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says (interpretation of the meaning):

...And not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for necessity to see the way or outer dress like veil, gloves, head-cover, apron, etc.), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms,) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband's fathers, or their sons, or their husband's sons, or their brothers or their brother's sons, or their sister's sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islâm), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigor, or small children who have no sense of the feminine sex.. (Verse Continues) (Surah An-Nur: 31)

Her haya in her walk is that she walks modestly without attracting others attention towards herself. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says (interpretation of the meaning): .

..And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allâh to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful. (Surah An-Nur: 31)

Abu Usayd al-Ansari narrated that he heard Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu alaihiwasallam say to the women on his way out of the mosque when he saw men and women mixing together on their way home: ‘Give way (i.e., walk to the sides) as it is not appropriate for you to walk in the middle of the road.’ Thereafter, women would walk so close to the wall that their dresses would get caught on it. (Narrated by Abu Dawood in "Kitab al-Adab min Sunanihi, Chapter: Mashyu an-Nisa Ma’ ar-Rijal fi at-Tariq)
A woman who has the knowledge of Allah’s commandment to preserve her modesty, submitting herself to the will of her creator, even after having the desire to be praised for her beauty, is without doubt beloved to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala and as well as to all good believing men.

3. Her Beauty: Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala made women beautiful in the sight of men. It’s just that some human beings are more attracted towards some than others. Aishah RadhiyAllahu anha said: “I heard the Prophet Sallallahu alaihiwasallam saying: ‘Souls are like conscripted soldiers; those whom they recognize, they get along with, and those whom they do not recognize, they will not get along with.’” (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

Al-Qurtubi said: “Although they are all souls, they differ in different ways, so a person will feel an affinity with souls of one kind, and will get along with them because of the special quality that they have in common. So we notice that people of all types will get along with those with whom they share an affinity, and will keep away from those who are of other types. [This is like the old saying goes, “Birds of a feather flock together”] For a believing man, a Muslim woman’s beauty is not just how her nose looks or how big her eyes are, but her modesty, purity of heart, and innocence make her look beautiful as well. Also Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala makes people whom He loves, pleasing to others.
“When Allah loves someone he calls to Jibreel Alaihissalaam saying, ‘O Jibreel, I love such and such a person, so love him.’ Then Jibreel will call to the (angels) of the heavens, ‘Allah loves such and such a person so love him.’ And the angels will love [that person]. And then Allah will place the pleasure in the hearts of the people towards this person.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

4. Her Intellect/playfulness: Intellect and playfulness are two qualities of women highly liked by men. Every man likes to have an intelligent wife who can advise and support him in day to day matters. Khadija bint Khuwaylid RadhiyAllahu anha was one of the most beloved wives of Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). She supported Allah’s messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at the very beginning of his Prophethood when Jibreel alaihissalaam brought the first revelation to him. Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) always admired her and remembered her even long after her death. A playful wife is a joy and pleasure to a man’s heart. Prophet Sallallahu alaihiwasallam recommended Jabir bin 'Abdullah to marry a virgin so that the two could play with each other and amuse each other. Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: "My father died and left seven or nine girls and I married a matron.

Allah's Apostle said to me, "O Jabir! Have you married?" I said, "Yes." He said, "A virgin or a matron?" I replied, "A matron." he said, "Why not a virgin, so that you might play with her and she with you, and you might amuse her and she amuse you." (Hadith continued) (Sahih Al- Bukhari)

5. Her Truthfulness: Being truthful and honest is an essential quality of a believer. ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ood RadhiyAllahu anh said: The Messenger of Allah Sallallahu alaihiwasallam said: “I urge you to be truthful, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man will continue to be truthful and seek to speak the truth until he is recorded with Allah as speaker of truth (Siddeeq). And beware of lying, for lying leads to immorality and immorality leads to Hell; a man will continue to tell lies until he is recorded with Allah as a liar.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

A person who is known to lie repeatedly loses his trust. And if that happens in case of a marital relationship the whole relationship falls apart. A woman who is known to be a “Siddeeqah” certainly has a higher status in a Muslim man’s heart.

6. Her Obedience: Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala made man protector and maintainer of the woman and enjoined upon her to obey him in all the matters that do not go against Quran and Sunnah. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means” (Surah An-Nisa’: 34)

The Messenger of Allah Sallallahu alaihiwasallam said, “The best women is she who when you look at her, she pleases you, when you command her she obeys you, and when you are absent, she protects her honor and your property.” (At-Tabarani, Ibn Majah)

7. Her Patience: Patience is a characteristic that can never be praised enough. A woman who remains patient at the times of hardship and relies on the help and mercy of Allah is without a doubt a beloved servant of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And Allah loves As-Saabiroon (the patient)” (Surah Aal Imran: 146)

8. Her Cooking: Delicious food is without a doubt weakness of men. It’s an old saying that “The Way to a Man's Heart is through his Stomach”. We also know that one of Prophet’s (Sallallahu alaihiwasallam) wives used to cook food that he liked a lot and due to that Aishah radhiyAllahu anha would get jealous, because she didn’t know how to cook that.

9. Her Contentment with Rizq: No man likes to have a woman who is always complaining about how less her husband earns or how rich her other friends are. A good Muslimah is the one who thank Allah for what He has blessed her with and she is thankful to her husband for what he provides her with. Abu Hurairah RadhiyAllahu anh reported: The Prophet Sallallahu alaihiwasallam said, "Richness is not the abundance of wealth, rather it is self-sufficiency.'' (Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

10. Good Manners: A woman of good manners is a blessing from Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. When she speaks, she speaks honorably, why she deals with others she deals with them kindly. She is polite with elders, loving to children, and good to her fellow folks. It is related by 'Abdullah bin Amr that the Prophet Sallallahu alaihiwasallam said: "The best of you are those who possess the best of manners." (Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

p/s: I wonder what would happen if a muslimah suddenly writes something like 10 charming aspects of a muslim man. I'm sure it would be deemed inappropriate or something. Anyway, its better if we ask that to the scholars, since women tend to follow their heart in these things. And muslim women also are lacking in 'ilm. We are left behind by men, whilst we have a great example in Aishah Radhiyallahu Anh. She was the prophet's wife and known to be very knowledgeable in the deen...

But anyways, I'm sure it already is written somewhere by the ulama'. But it's the same both ways. If you 'want', then 'be' first. All 10 listed above, I'm sure it's not news. We've heard of it before. May Allah give us ease of actually being rather than just knowing... ameen3!

p/s2: For the umpteenth time, I really miss life in Jatinangor. (even though I just came back from there today) I miss my usrah sisters  and life there :(

But Allah is always teaching us something.
Always.
And He put me here for a reason so lets not be unthankful...
Allahul musta'an.
A lot of adjustment is needed, most of it is adjusting the mind.

and of course,
the heart.

Falling in Love with the Real Thing - Yasmin Mogahed

Writer's block. I've become this quiet, pensieve person with something quite like stage-fright. Very unlike me. Life is a stage, they say. Does that mean I'm afraid of life? I hope not. I wonder what's wrong with me. It's so weird.
But maybe this article has something to do with it.
Yes, sometimes I worry too much.
But I read a great quote just now:

If what's ahead scares you... and what's behind hurts you... then... just look Above! ALLAH never fails to help you!

A true believer never doubts Allah.

Happy reading! :)

Fall in Love with the Real Thing

It’s never easy to let go. Or is it? Most of us would agree that there are few things harder than letting go of what we love. And yet, sometimes that’s exactly what we have to do. Sometimes we love things that we can’t have. Sometimes we want things that are not good for us. And sometimes we love what Allah does not love. To let go of these things is hard. Giving up something the heart adores is one of the hardest battles we ever have to fight.
But what if it didn’t have to be such a battle? What if it didn’t have to be so hard? Could there ever be an easy way to let go of an attachment? Yes. There is.
Find something better.
They say you don’t get over someone until you find someone or something better. As humans, we don’t deal well with emptiness. Any empty space must be filled. Immediately. The pain of emptiness is too strong. It compels the victim to fill that place. A single moment with an empty spot causes excruciating pain. That’s why we run from distraction to distraction, and from attachment to attachment.
In the quest to free the heart, we speak a lot about breaking our false dependencies. But then there’s always the question of ‘how?’ Once a false attachment has been developed, how do we break free? Often it feels too hard. We get addicted to things, and can’t seem to let them go. Even when they hurt us. Even when they damage our lives and our bond with God. Even when they are so unhealthy for us. We just can’t let them go. We are too dependent on them. We love them too much and in the wrong way. They fill something inside of us that we think we need…that we think we can’t live without. And so, even when we struggle to give them up, we often abandon the struggle because it’s too hard.
Why does that happen? Why do we have so much trouble sacrificing what we love for what God loves? Why can’t we just let go of things? I think we struggle so much with letting go of what we love, because we haven’t found something we love more to replace it.
When a child falls in love with a toy car, he becomes consumed with that love. But what if he can’t have the car? What if he has to walk by the store every day, and see the toy he can’t have? Every time he walks by, he would feel pain. And he may even struggle not to steal it. Yet, what if the child looks past the store window and sees a Real car? What if he sees the Real Ferrari? Would he still struggle with his desire for the toy? Would he still have to fight the urge to steal it? Or would he be able to walk right past the toy—the disparity in greatness annihilating the struggle?
We want love. We want money. We want status. We want this life. And like that child, we too become consumed with these loves. So when we can’t have those things, we are that child in a store, struggling not to steal them. We are struggling not to commit haram for the sake of what we love. We are struggling to let go of the haram relationships, business dealings, actions, dress. We are struggling to let go of the love of this life. We are the stumbling servant struggling to let go of the toy…because it’s all we see.
This whole life and everything in it is like that toy car. We can’t let go of it because we haven’t found something greater. We don’t see the Real thing. The Real version. The Real model.
Allah (swt) says,
29:64
“What is the life of this world but amusement and play? But verily the Home in the Hereafter,- that is life indeed, if they but knew.” (29:64)
When describing this life, Allah uses the Arabic word for ‘life’: الْحَيَاةُ. But, when describing the next life, Allah here uses the highly exaggerated term for life, الْحَيَوَانُ. The next life is the Real life. The Realer life. The Real version. And then Allah ends the ayah by saying “If they but knew”. If we could see the Real thing, we could get over our deep love for the lesser, fake model.
In another ayah, God says:
87:16
87:17

“But you prefer the worldly life, while the Hereafter is better and more enduring.” (87:16-17)
The Real version is better in quality (خَيْرٌ) and better in quantity (أَبْقَىٰ). No matter how great what we love in this life is, it will always have some deficiency, in both quality (imperfections) and quantity (temporary).
This is not to say that we cannot have or even love things of this life. As believers we are told to ask for good in this life and the next. But it is like the toy car and the real car. While we could have or even enjoy the toy car, we realize the difference. We understand fully that there is a lesser model (dunya: coming from the root word ‘daniya’, meaning ‘lower’) and there is the Real model (hereafter).
But how does that realization help us in this life? It helps because it makes the ‘struggle’ to follow the halal, and refrain from the haram easier. The more we can see the Real thing, the easier it becomes to give up the ‘unreal’—when necessary. That does not mean we have to give up the ‘unreal’ completely, or all the time. Rather it makes our relationship with the lesser model (dunya) one in which if and when we are asked to give something up for the sake of what is Real, it is no longer difficult. If we are asked to refrain from a prohibition that we want, it becomes easier. If we are asked to be firm in a commandment that we don’t want, it becomes easier. We become the matured child who likes to have the toy, but if ever asked to choose between the toy and the Real thing, see a ‘no-brainer’. For example, many of the Prophet’s (pbuh) companions had wealth. But when the time came, they could easily give half or all of it for Allah’s sake.
This focus also transforms what we petition for help or approval. If we’re in desperate need of something, we will appeal to the servant—only when we don’t see or know the King. But if we’re on our way to meet that King and we run into His servant, we may greet the servant, be kind to the servant, even love the servant. But we will not waste time trying to impress the servant, when there is a King to impress. We will never waste effort appealing to the servant for our need, while the King is the One in control. Even if the King had given some authority to the servant, we’d know very well that the power to give and take rests ultimately with the King—and the King alone. This knowledge comes only from knowing and seeing the King.  And this knowledge completely transforms how we interact with the servant.
Seeing the Real thing transforms the way we love. Ibn Taymiyyah (RA) discussed this concept when he said: “If your heart is enslaved by someone who is forbidden for him: One of the main causes for this miserable situation is turning away from Allah, for once the heart has tasted worship of Allah and sincerity towards Him, nothing will be sweeter to it than that, nothing will be more delightful or more precious. No one leaves his beloved except for another one he loves more, or for fear of something else. The heart will give up corrupt love in favor of true love, or for fear of harm.”
One of our greatest problems as an ummah is as the Prophet (pbuh) told us in a hadith: wahn (love of dunya and hatred of death). We’ve fallen in love with dunya. And anytime you are in love, it becomes next to impossible to get over that love or separate from it—until you are able to fall in love with something greater. It is next to impossible to dislodge this destructive love of dunya from our hearts, until we find something greater to replace it. Having found a greater love, it becomes easy to get over another one. When the love of God, His messenger (pbuh) and the Home with Him is really seen, it overpowers and dominates any other love in the heart. The more that love is seen, the more dominate it becomes. And thereby the easier it will be to really actualize the statement of Ibraheem (AS):
6:162
“Say, ‘Indeed, my prayer, my service of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.’” (6:162)

So in letting go, the answer lies in love. Fall in love. Fall in love with something greater. Fall in love with the Real thing. See the Mansion.
Only then, will we stop playing in the dollhouse.

Reminder for the soul

“Aku hairan dengan orang yang mengetahui kematian, tapi mengapa ia masih tertawa;

Aku hairan dengan orang yang tahu bahawa dunia adalah sementara, tapi mengapa ia sangat mencintainya;

Aku hairan dengan orang yang mengetahui semua urusan telah ditakdirkan, tapi mengapa ia takut kehilangan;

pulkan harta dan menghitung-hitungnya;

Aku hairan dengan orang yang mengetahui panasnya api neraka, tapi mengapa ia tetap berbuat dosa;

Aku hairan dengan orang yang mengaku mengenal Allah, tapi mengapa ia meminta tolong kepada selain-Nya;

Aku hairan kepada orang yang mengaku mengetahui kenikmatan syurga, tapi mengapa ia merasa hidup tenang di dunia;
